Knowing and understanding the wild edible foods in and around your home is an incredibly enjoyable and useful skill and pastime.
In this series you will be introduced to the edible foods of the capital region throughout the growing eason. Each class will be held in a new location surrounding the Albany, NY area.
You will learn seasonal plant and fungi identification as well as critical knowledge such as where to find these species, ‘look-alikes’, harvest times, and preparation.
‘Best-practice’ harvest methods will be used to maintain or introduce ecosystem balance and impart a continued respect for our natural world.
